Headshot of Kelsey Prestesater in the Hathaway & Kunz office

Kelsey Prestesater is an associate at Hathaway & Kunz, where she assists in diverse practice areas including business, commercial and corporate law, and civil litigation.

Kelsey is driven by a desire to walk clients through complex legal issues in a way that leaves them feeling involved, educated, and empowered to make the best decision for their unique situation.

Kelsey began her legal career interning at a regional law firm in Washington, specializing in general civil litigation before branching out and accepting a position with the United States Attorney’s Office in Idaho.

Upon passing the Washington bar exam, Kelsey dove back into private practice with the same firm for which she’d previously interned—this time as an attorney. She worked diligently with her clients to craft unique solutions to high-asset marital dissolutions, complex employment issues, and contractual disputes.

Most recently, Kelsey was an attorney with the Washington State Health Care Authority, the state’s largest healthcare purchaser, where she managed a full administrative caseload and provided legal advice on federal and statewide compliance and risk management in the creation of innovative programs designed to reform the healthcare market and achieve improved healthcare at a lower cost.

Away from the office, Kelsey enjoys exploring the outdoors and traveling with her husband and daughter.
